Square Enix has now given us two previews for the new Final Fantasy franchise. The first was showcased back in Dec 2006, giving a peek of what may appear to be the male lead.

Graphics look good, and with the second trailer showcasing an action packed scene.

For the other  trailer, the man, appeared to be the foe of the story, with an army of soldiers shooting at him. The dark castle he resides in and his dark clothing suggests he is one of the bad guys.

The second trailer was released May 2007 revealing the Female lead. This other trailer starts with a quick scene on a train, with the female lead shooting her way through a crowd of soldiers. The next scene is a fight scene on a bridge. She seems to have been fighting the same soldiers that was shooting the other man in the first trailer, meaning there could be more to these soldiers than we first encounter.

We see more of the female lead than we did of the male. She also does not follow the same format image of the previous female leads from the final fantasy games that preceded. Check back on Rinoa and Tifa, Yuna and Ash, where all had the same distinctive style of hair and facial features. From the trailer and images I have seen, this girl is different in attitude and looks, and is what appears to be a auburn haired girl, with attitude up her belt, and can handle a sword as well as Xena, the Warrior Princess.

From what footage I have seen and from sources I have so far discovered, no names for the characters have been revealed, but the story revolves around a crystal.
